Making The JackRabbit Call Work Better

Published: Sep. 11, 2011

If you will hold off the jackrabbit call until it starts getting cold in November and December and take a fresh killed jack rabbit out of the freeze and gut him, and hang him up, right before calling, then you have the odor of fresh rabbit and the "sound" and coyotes will drop their guard to get a bite. Don't over use the rabbit distress as it gets old quick and besides after the cold weather is over, coyotes are on a totally different diet.
