Default retired Marine from Iowa

hello

I am a medically retired Marine from iowa and plan on heading up to SD in the middle of august to hopfully do some dog hunting with my wife.

does anyone have any recomidations on where to go? i would prefer to find somone to pay that could take us out on their private land. but if that is not a option i wouldnt have a problem going to a outffiter or lodge.

can anyone guide me in the right direction?

thanks joe

Middle of August is a little late in the year and it will be hotter than hell but I know a nice place you could visit with your wife. Doubleaoutfitters.net has a website you should visit. They are north of Pierre about 100 miles and have a great place. Nice lodge, great food and drink and lots of dogs. Talk to Lyle Anderson the owner. It sounds a little pricey at 1st but but figure most places charge a minimum of $125 a shooter and you get room, board and drinks for about $235 a day per shooter. Check their site. Tell Lyle Marshall Moyer from Missouri said hi.
